“Calling the National Rifle Association “cowardly bullies” TV One host, Daily Beast columnist and former CNN contributor Roland Martin went on a tear against the gun group’s opposition to the nomination of Vivek Murthy as Surgeon General, Matthew Balan of Newsbusters reported Thursday.
“Martin’s op-ed follows in the footsteps of MSNBC‘s Krystal Ball and NBC’s Anne Thompson, who politicized the Ebola crisis nearly a week earlier when they bemoaned that due to ‘Senate dysfunction and NRA opposition, we don’t have a surgeon general right now,’” Balan explained, referencing an earlier report.
That bit of hysterical dot-connecting is a meme the gun-grabbers are trying to get off the ground. So far, that bit of moonbattery is confined to their loopiest factions, such as the hive insects at Statists United.
Opposition to Murthy is understandable, even if “progressives” want to deceive Americans into believing otherwise. The guy is a foreign-born gun-grabber who would abuse his position to undermine the right to keep and bear arms in his adoptive land. And it’s not like government funding of anti-gun propaganda masked as public health “science” isn’t something gun rights activists have been exposing for years.”
