Feeding Your Tribe

The Patriot Canteen/mass feeding project is still in the works, some equipment has been purchased, the owners now have the info needed to set up the MKT,and run a foodservice operation out of it.

What they do not have is all of the equipment needed,or the funds to purchase the rest of what’s needed.

These guys made the initial investment by purchasing the MKT-anyone in their AO should be supporting this project-it could end up being the only place you can get a hot meal.

People not in the AO should be supporting the project as well.

I’ve got very limited $$$ this year,as it rained for almost the entire month of June, and the first week of July in NE Ohio. Everyone who makes a living working outside is way behind, and made a whole lot less than usual due to the shitty weather we had-yet I scraped up $25.00 and kicked in to help this project succeed.

And I live about 700 miles away.

When SHTF or there’s a grid down emergency due to natural disaster, economic collapse-whatever-you’d better hope someone in your AO has a MKT or similar set-up all stocked up and ready to roll because you ain’t gonna survive very long on MRE’s or Mountain House,or beans and rice.

SHTF/grid down situations are stressful-your body needs proper nutrition even more when under stress.

The military knows this-that’s the reason the MKT exists-to get hot chow to front line troops-those in forward bases,SF camps, etc.

Besides the owners-there are two guys who have over 50 years of experience feeding large groups of people-as both of us were executive chefs in hotels and private country clubs-we are helping with this project because we know the importance of hot meals and proper nutrition-and we know how to prep, cook, hold, and serve large groups of people- all while following proper sanitation procedures during all phases of the operation-which means we won’t get people sick.

Those who try feeding large groups of people without the knowledge and experience WILL get people sick-your group/tribe ain’t gonna be able to do much when they’ve got the screamin squirts comin out of their rear ends because some clueless dolt gave them food poisoning.

There’s a reason that in both the military and civilian world-those in charge of foodservice operations have a hell of a lot of training and experience-it’s not like Thanksgiving dinner at your aunt Millie’s house-or your fourth of July BBQ.

There are procedures/rules/regs that MUST be followed. Those who don’t know them and attempt to feed large groups of people are going to see their tribe  spending a lot of time runnin for the woods,or the porta potties,or latrines with rolls of TP in their hands.

No one feels this is an important project?

No one thinks hot, nutritious food is important to your long-term survival?

No one’s willing to give up a couple Mountain Dews,or a six-pack of beer to kick in $5.00?

Everyone is to poor, too broke to kick in a lousy $5.00

I’m poor,I’m broke,but I kicked in $25.00

Come on people-let’s get this one done-then it can be used as the example for any AO in the country-but we can’t give that example unless we get this one done.
