It’s right about the peak of the rut around here,so I’m gonna go and try to whack a nice buck.

Might be back tonight,might stay where we’re going  hunting at overnight,and be back tomorrow night-depends on whether or not any of us get a deer.

It’s supposed to be 60 degrees today-so if one of us gets a deer,there’s no hangin’ it up outside for a few days.

We’ll have to ice it down,then skin and butcher it tonight,in warm weather,I just quarter the deer,then put the quarters in trash bags over ice in coolers to age it for 5 days before cutting it into roasts,steaks,stew,meat for grinding,and meat for jerky.

I’ll post pics tonight if one of us gets a deer today.
