Two Weeks To Sign Up For Food Safety/Cooking For Large Groups Class

Last day to sign up is July 20th.

Every summer, at church picnics,family reunions,block parties etc. people become seriously ill from improperly prepped,cooked,stored/held at temp,and served food.

The vast majority of people can not safely feed a large group of people now-with all utilities on,refrigeration,freezers,gas or electric stoves/ovens-and access to the ‘net.

What happens when there’s a natural disaster,major hurricane,tornadoes,or the grid goes down  for more than a few days?

Do you know how to safely feed your group/tribe.extended family with no refrigeration? No gas/electric stoves or ovens to cook the food?

Do you know how to safely feed a large group of  people now,when you have power,refrigeration,gas/electric stoves and ovens?

It ain’t like cooking a holiday meal at aunt Shirley’s house.

Do you know how long foods can be at room temp. safely?

Do you know what temp. to cook what food to in order to insure no nasty microscopic critters can make you violently ill?

Do you know how long cooked foods can be at room temp. before they must be refrigerated?

Do you know how to make stocks,soups,sauces,and stews from scratch?

Can you bake bread from scratch? Make bisquits? Dumplings? Cakes and cookies?

Do you know how to figure out how much food you need for 25 people? 50? 100?

Do you know how to butcher cows,Hogs? deer/elk/moose? Pluck and dress a chicken or turkey? Pheasant? Grouse? Quail? Dove? How about get a rabbit or squirrel ready to cook?

Can you filet a fish?

Do you know how to plan a menu using what food you have on hand?

Do you know anything about nutrition?

Calorie needs when people are under stress?

You do realize that people can not live off of MRE’s or Mountain house for extended periods  of time,right? With MRE’s it’s only a few days before you have digestive issues.

You do realize that you can not survive for long on beans and rice,right?

You do realize that to get proper nutrition,you must have fruits and vegetables,right?

When you do not eat right,you are more susceptible to colds,flu,and other diseases,right?

When you are not getting proper nutrition,or enough calories-you are not only more prone to diseases,your energy level drops to near zero.

Learn how to safely feed your group,with proper nutrition,how to plan menus,how to prepare foods from scratch,and how to safely store,prep,cook,hold and serve foods.

Class is affordable,students get a large amount of materials via e-mail prior to class,and even more printed materials day of class.

Most is reference material,and proper procedures for storing,prepping,cooking,holding at proper temps,and serving foods.

Class is a 3 day course condensed into a 1 day class.
