John W. Whitehead's avatarJohn W. Whitehead, Constitutional Attorney

We’re developing a new citizenry. One that will be very selective about cereals and automobiles, but won’t be able to think.”—Rod Serling

Have you noticed how much life increasingly feels like an episode of The Twilight Zone?

Only instead of Rod Serling’s imaginary “land of both shadow and substance, of things and ideas,” we’re trapped in a topsy-turvy, all-too-real land of corruption, brutality and lies, where freedom, justice and integrity play second fiddle to political ambition, corporate greed, and bureaucratic tyranny.

It’s not merely that life in the American Police State is more brutal, or more unjust, or even more corrupt. It’s getting more idiotic, more perverse, and more outlandish by the day.

Somewhere over the course of the past 240-plus years, democracy has given way to idiocracy,  and representative government has given way to a kleptocracy (a government ruled by thieves) and a kakistocracy (a government…

I came across a conversation on a friend’s Facebook page the other day, concerning “loaner guns.” To whit, these are guns set aside specifically to be loaned out to a friend in need. This is a conversation I’ve seen and heard broached in a variety of places within the Prepper Sphere, over the years, as well as in the general shooting community.

Generally speaking, in the “prepper” and “militia” circles, “loaner guns” tend to take the form of a case full of Mosin-Nagants, or SKS, that were purchased back in the day, when you get two of them for a hundred bucks, and still have money left over for lunch.

At the same time, in some conversations I’ve seen (not the one that instigated this article, necessarily…), the idea of a loaner gun tends towards, “Me and the boys are gonna roll into a dicey neighborhood, and Johnny doesn’t have…

It’s distasteful, like taking fecal samples, but Philip Carl Salzman has actually examined what many of our institutions of lower learning are teaching their students. From Paul Craig Roberts and Salzman at paulcraigroberts.org:

It is amazing the power that politically correct kooks have acquired over language, art, and literature. It is a sign that the West is culturally dead.

When high museums rename paintings because some emotional weakling declares the name to be offensive, it becomes obvious that the custodians of Western culture have lost their belief in Western culture.

When universities cover up murals because of a claim they are offensive to people whose presence on the campus is miniscule if present at all, you know that learning is no longer the purpose of the university.

When a people are afraid to use the words and terms of their forefathers, you know they have been…

Over-Prescribing Did Not Cause the Opioid Crisis

Over-Prescribing Did Not Cause America’s Opioid Crisis– By Richard A. Lawhern, Ph.D. –  Mar 2019

A central assertion in many articles is that the crisis began with physicians over-prescribing to their patients in the 1990s and early 2000s, in an era of “Pain as the Fifth Vital Sign.”

Almost the entirety of present U.S. public policy on opioid pain relievers at Federal and State levels is founded upon this false claim.

Governments are engaged in a vast exercise in regulatory over-reach, seeking to “solve” our opioid crisis by restricting dose levels and duration of treatment for both acute and chronic pain.

Everything is in place for the US government to copy China’s Social Credit Score system. From Marin Katusa at internationalman.com:

In 2015, a 16-year-old student from Jiangsu, China, tried to board a train.

She couldn’t even purchase a ticket.

The student, Zhong Pei, tried enrolling in classes at her university. But she was not allowed to do that either.

Zhong had committed a serious crime: She was guilty of being related to someone else.

Her father had killed two people and died in a car accident. So the Chinese government blacklisted her as “dishonest.”

It took her four months before she was able to overturn the decision and go to her university.

China’s Social Credit System – America’s New Nightmare?

What Zhong experienced was the result of testing for China’s new “Social Credit System.”

The SCS aims to be a unified program that provides a “social credit score” for…
