Much of what we’ve gotten from our “history” books has been wishful myth. Those who are the victors in wars and other world situations get to write the “history” books, in which they make themselves look good and their enemies look bad. The bad things they’ve done are either ignored or swept under the rug while their enemy’s faults are magnified ten-fold.

Arthur R. Thompson, in his book To the Victor go the Myths and Monuments has noted a lot of this sort of thing. He has written: “In the case of the American Civil War the above is the case for both sides of the conflict. Both have rewritten history and set up monuments to some of those best forgotten. Worse, there is too much concentration on the battles and not on the politics and influences on these events.” I’d have to mostly agree with…

Given what some of the Establishment Republicans seem to be doing just a couple months before the midterms the question has to have arisen among those who think as to whether the Republican Establishment is really trying to defeat the socialist Democrats or whether they plan to continue losing to them as the “loyal opposition.” Let us not kid ourselves. There is precious little difference between the Establishment Republicans and the socialist Democrats. As a friend of mine has observed: “Republicans and Democrats are two different wings on the same bird flying in the wrong direction.”

Lindsey Graham claims to be an ally of Donald Trump. I just hope Trump doesn’t take him seriously in that claim because right now he is acting more like a henchman of the Biden/Obama regime.

First came 9/11, which the government used to transform itself into a police state.

Then the COVID-19 pandemic hit, which the police state used to test out its lockdown powers.

In light of the government’s tendency to exploit crises (legitimate or manufactured) and capitalize on the nation’s heightened emotions, confusion and fear as a means of extending the reach of the police state, one has to wonder what so-called crisis it will declare next.

It’s a simple enough formula: first, you create fear, then you capitalize on it by seizing power.

Frankly, it doesn’t even matter what the nature of the next national emergency might be (terrorism, civil unrest, economic collapse, a health scare, or the environment) as long…
