Grapevine, Texas – Monday, a Texas grand jury chose not to indict a Grapevine Police Officer, Robert Clark, for the shooting death of an unarmed man. Ruben Garcia Villalpando, was killed by Clark as he had his hands on his head but was slowly moving towards the officer, contrary to the officer’s commands.

The officer’s dash cam video shows an initial police chase, as Villalpando attempts to evade Clark at high speeds, with Clark eventually holding him at gunpoint and orders him out of the vehicle after the chase concludes.

The officer then commanded Villalpando to put his hands on his head and walk backwards toward the front of the police cruiser. While Villalpando complies with the order to put his hands on his head, the obviously intoxicated suspect doesn’t comply with the demands to walk backwards.

Instead of walking backwards, the suspect slowly shuffles closer to the Clark, as the officer continually orders Villalpando to stop walking towards him.

As Villalpando stepped out of the camera’s view, Clark fired two rounds into him, subsequently killing Villalpando.

Toeing the standard blue line in cases such as this, Clark claimed that he feared for his life during the encounter and thus shot and killed Villalpando.

What is extremely troubling about this situation, aside from the fact that the grand jury didn’t see fit to indict and allow a jury to decide guilt or innocence, is that Villalpando, while not fully compliant, was not in any way violent or aggressive towards the officer.

An autopsy revealed that Villalpando had a .14 blood-alcohol level at the time of his death. It seems more plausible that his non-compliance was less about endangering an officer and had more to do with his inebriated state.

Screven County, Georgia – Mother and substitute teacher Julie Giles was arrested this week because her son had too many unexcused absences from public school.

Writing on her Facebook page before turning herself in, Giles said “If anyone feels the need to go public with this feel free to do so….the facts are Sam originally had what they consider 12 unexcused absences, 6 are allowed per year, so he had 6 more than is acceptable, but the doctor reissued 3 excuses that Sam didn’t turn in, so basically I am being arrested for THREE days.”

She also noted that her child has all A’s and B’s in school.

WTOC’s Don Logana contacted Screven County Schools Superintendent William Bland, who told him that the school district is working within the law.

“It’s important for these children to be in school and I think the courts recognize that,” he said.

Logana also learned during his investigation that several other parents have been convicted for the same offense at this school this year alone.

Important stuff to know-or learn.

From Taxi Hack on 4/14/2014-a few key excerpts, but read the whole thing-it’s all spot on…cops

“These people are playing with matches… I don’t think they understand the scope and scale of the wildfire they are flirting with. They are fucking around with a civil war that could last a decade and cause millions of deaths… and the sad truth is that 95% of the problems we have in this country could be solved tomorrow, by noon… simply by dragging 100 people out in the street and shooting them in the fucking head.”

And lemme tell ya, he had the list… he rattled off 25 or 30 names of well-known, prominent politicians, mostly Democrats, but a few Republicans, several members of the current Cabinet, a couple of Obama’s “czars”, a couple of figures from the Bush administration and the Republican establishment, several media company executives and on-camera newscasters, reporters, and pundits, a couple of people who are active in leftist politics but not in elected office… he had obviously thought about this to some degree already.

I was struck by his cold, detached, matter-of-fact tone. I said, “Dude… that’s more French Revolution than American Revolution. Do you really think that is the way to go?”

Wheeler said, “I believe in efficiency and economy of action. You wouldn’t trade one hundred of those criminal bastards for ten million of your fellow Americans?”

“This isn’t a Republican vs. Democrat issue, it isn’t even a conservative vs. liberal issue… this is an American vs. un-American issue. Do you wish to be a free American, or will you accept becoming a slave to a massive and all-powerful police state? You are either an advocate for freedom and limited government, or you are an advocate for tyranny. There is no gray area, no middle ground to be found here. This government has slowly amassed powers over the last hundred years that would horrify the Founders of this nation. As I stated earlier, I can’t believe the shooting hasn’t already started.

For you liberal readers out there, let me offer this: pick your favorite right-wing boogieman, the craziest fascist evil criminal wingnut that there is, and make that person the President…. President Dick Cheney, President Rick Santorum, President Charles Koch, President Alan West, President Michelle Bachmann, President Rush Limbaugh, President Glen Beck, President Joe Arpaio, President John Bolton, President Ted Nugent… whoever really freaks you out.

Now ask yourself this question: Do you want that person to have the power and the surveillance apparatus and the unchecked force of the IRS that Barack Obama and this massive government now wields?

This should scare the shit out of you… ask yourself how you would feel about the Palin administration having the power to track your every move, listen to your every call, read every email and text message, cross reference all your email contacts and Facebook friends, scrutinize every Visa card purchase, reexamine the last decade of your tax returns for any rounding error you might have made, and the ability to call up your complete medical records with a couple of keystrokes, for you, your family, and everyone you know, right down to every antidepressant prescription, bunion surgery, psychiatric visit, Low-T diagnosis, encrusted carbuncle, PAP smear, and vaginal wart.

Is this getting creepy yet?”

As I write this, our government has purchased 1.5 billion rounds of hollow point bullets, which is enough ammunition to shoot every American in the head five times, with plenty of ammo to spare. By way of comparison, our troops in Iraq used roughly a mere 70 million rounds per year. The Social Security Administration… you know, the people that send checks to your Aunt Millie every month, has ordered 174,000 rounds of hollow-point bullets. What is remarkable about these purchases is not the size of the order, but the type of ammunition procured. The US military does not use hollow point ammunition, per international treaty. And the bulk of this ammunition is 9mm and .40 caliber, which are favored by domestic law enforcement for use in their handguns and submachine guns. A purchase of this size cannot be explained away as training or a bargain-shopping bulk order… people that run up 90 trillion dollars in debt are not coupon-clippers. So the question that needs to be asked is, “Who does the government intend to shoot?

“As I write this, an estimated 100,000 citizens in Connecticut are openly defying the state’s unconstitutional “assault rifle and high capacity magazine” registration legislation, hastily passed in the wake of the Sandy Hook shooting. They are refusing to register an estimated 300 or 400 thousand weapons and potentially MILLIONS of magazines that were perfectly legal and constitutionally guaranteed the day before the law was passed. They are all now felons. To put that number in perspective, the entire British army, navy, and air forces numbers right around 100,000 personnel. So you have a group of American citizens the size of the entire British military, armed to the teeth in tiny little Connecticut, and cops are putting up YouTube videos and Facebook posts saying they can’t wait for the armed raids to start.”

What’s changed in just over a year? Are we any better off? Has the police state been dismantled? Has the NSA stopped spying on citizens? Are we any closer to Rightful Liberty? Or are we closer to  totalitarian police state where we can be imprisoned at undisclosed locations-never to be heard from again-at the will of the police state? Where no one knows where we are,no right to an attorney,no right to trial-just a “right” to indefinite detention at the hands of OUR government? We are so far from the Constitution and Bill of Rights that it is truly amazing that the shooting hasn’t started yet. Why are WE putting up with this shit? Why have WE let things get to the point we are at today? Taxi Hack’s post went viral-millions read it-why has nothing changed? What are people afraid of-losing their I-phone,not having farcebook?  The founding fathers would have been shooting YEARS ago.

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — An Army officer stripped of a medal for heroism under fire and his right to call himself a Green Beret is fighting for his military career after accusations he tracked down and killed a suspected bomb-maker in Afghanistan.

Though a criminal investigation failed to find remains of his alleged victim and didn’t result in charges against Maj. Mathew Golsteyn, he’s been targeted for possible dismissal from the Army and the consequent loss of veteran’s benefits with a less-than-honorable discharge.

A Fort Bragg hearing before three, higher-ranked Special Forces officers could meet later this month to weigh arguments from Golsteyn’s attorney why he should remain on active duty.

“My hope is that Golsteyn will receive a fair and impartial hearing. Based on the Army’s actions and decisions thus far, I regret to say this won’t be the case,” one of the soldier’s defenders, U.S. Rep. Duncan Hunter, R-Calif., wrote Wednesday to Army Secretary John McHugh. Army brass have kept Hunter updated on the case.

Others believe the Army is obligated to act because the Geneva Conventions governing warfare forbid arbitrary killings by troops, said Jeffrey K. Walker, a St. John’s University criminal law professor.

“That’s a minimum protection anybody gets at any time, no matter how you categorize them or how you categorize the conflict. That is the basic floor below which nobody can drop as far as protections go,” said Walker, a retired Air Force officer and former military lawyer. “Arbitrary deprivation of life is at the top of the list of things you cannot do.”

Golsteyn’s roller-coaster military career from battlefield hero to whispers of a war crime is rooted in the deadly month of February 2010, when American-led allied forces seized the Taliban stronghold of Marjah in Afghanistan’s Helmand province.

Insurgent snipers unleashed fire on Forward Operating Base McQueary. A patrol of about 80 troops headed out across muddy poppy fields to find the gunmen. Over a four-hour firefight, Golsteyn repeatedly exposed himself to enemy fire as he helped evacuate a wounded Afghan soldier and directed repeated airstrikes onto the enemy, according to the Army’s narrative of why he was awarded a Silver Star medal.

Then, about two months before being promoted from captain to major in November 2011, he had an interview with the CIA. He talked about something he’d done during the 2010 deployment before the battle near Marjah.

Golsteyn “claimed to have captured and shot and buried a suspected IED bomb maker. He further went to comment that he went back out with two others to cremate the body and dispose of the remains,” according to a memo summarizing the Golsteyn case. “Capt. Golsteyn stated that he knew it was illegal but was not remorseful as he had solid intelligence and his actions protected the safety of his fellow teammates.”

The Army’s Criminal Investigative Division, acting on the CIA’s tip, could find no one who corroborated Golsteyn’s claim to have hunted the bomb-maker after an attack that killed two Marines. Nor could they find any cremated remains of the Afghan. Despite that, investigators said “Golsteyn committed the offenses of murder and conspiracy based on the interview provided by the CIA,” according to the Sept. 29 memo first published by the web site The Intercept. Lt. Col. Christopher Kasker, a spokesman for McHugh, confirmed the memo is authentic.

But the American legal system requires witnesses, a body or some evidence that a crime occurred, Walker said, so Golsteyn’s statement isn’t enough to prosecute him.

“You’ve got to have something in addition to somebody’s confession to convict him of a crime,” Walker said. “That’s a safeguard against official misconduct and abuse. If all you need is a confession, well let’s just beat a confession out of the guy and we’re all done.”

Last fall, McHugh revoked Golsteyn’s Silver Star presented three years earlier. The Army head also rejected a recommendation to upgrade Golsteyn’s honor to the Distinguished Service Cross, the second-highest military decoration a soldier can receive for extraordinary heroism.

In February, the Army initiated the process to kick Golsteyn out of the active-duty military. He was taken out of action and assigned to a headquarters unit.

The U.S. military can kill wedding parties and innocent civilians with drone strikes-and call it “collateral damage”,yet they want to prosecute this guy for taking out a confirmed IED maker-WTF?

This is nothing more than political correctness run amok in a military in which the officers capable of leading troops have been purged, and replaced with those who support the leftist agenda-complete with rampant homosexuality, women holding high ranking positions they should never be in,one of them forcing men in units to march in high heels, all to support “gender equality” or some such bullshit-the leftist ideology has no place in the military-the goal of military units is to win the battles that lead to winning the war-NOT to foster political correctness, not to support the LGBT parade of genetic defects-not to support any agenda-other than winning the fight.

The Privilege Of Not Caring

Nice rant.
When I heard you talk in the interview you linked to a while back-I would have placed your accent as Eastern European, then again, the only thing I had to go on as far as Portuguese is the large community of commercial fishermen around New Bedford Mass who are originally Portuguese, but after multiple generations-the accent is “Americanized”

So, recently I’ve been getting really tired of the word “privilege” mostly because it’s being twisted to mean things it never meant.

I’d even be more or less okay with the idea that “white privilege” is not having to define yourself according to a race/ethnicity stereotypes.  It’s a stupid idea, but it’s at least understandable how people got there.

They got there through a total lack of empathy, is how they got there.  They assume that the pressures put on them to fit the pictures in people’s heads only exist because they tan an interesting color, have female parts or whatever.

This is a stunning lack of empathy because in fact, the pictures in people’s heads are there because they’re human and the subject they are examining must fall into a pattern of heuristics that allows them to make a quick decision.

In other words, particularly when evaluating other humans…

There are plenty of prepper websites, books and discussion forums out there, all of them discussing SHTF/WROL survival.  Some of them, such as the forum at http://www.shtfschool.com, are very good.  And naturally, nearly all of them try to make a few bucks here and there, via advertising, selling books, knives, survivalist gear, “zombie” gear, and so on..  Great.  More power to them, in my not-so-humble opinion…  God help me, if I ever go mall-ninja-survivalist.

Today’s thoughts actually revolve around something that was asked of me to make, a sort of common-Joe’s view of what will happen should the Trans Pacific Partnership “trade” deal pass.  The truth is that nobody can do that, since the full details are held in strict secrecy (making me conclude that it’s NOT good for America, Americans or our wallets).   The TPP- like NAFTA and CAFTA- will result in the same thing:

Any questions?

Oh,  some details are…
