Lock shimming and bypass techniques are “the key” (if you’ll forgive the pun) to gaining fast entry in a lot of cases.
Only if you are scavenging always carry a spare keyed padlock.
That way if you have to break a lock, you can quickly slip on your own.
After all it’s security’s task to check something is secure, not accessible.
