When guns are outlawed…..

Yes, Europe has, by and large, more restrictive firearms laws than most American states. But those laws haven’t had much effect on the actual availability of guns, since they’ve been met by defiance and helped breed a brisk underground trade. And they’re certainly no barrier to small numbers of terrorists who have dedicated themselves to harming others and see the law as no hurdle to achieving that goal.

The main impact then of restrictive gun laws may be to strip law-abiding people of means with which they might defend themselves while leaving criminals and terrorists well-armed. That leaves intended victims in the difficult position of deciding whether to put their heads down and charge a homicidal fanatic holding an assault rifle. When successful, that makes for heroic headlines. But it’s a hell of a risky tactic on which to rest your fate.

Art.VI, clause 2 says:

“This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land…”

That tells us:

1. Only THREE things are eligible to comprise the “supreme Law of the Land”: The Constitution,

Acts of Congress, and Treaties. Supreme Court opinions are not included! Supreme Court opinions aren’t even “law” [contrary to what lawyers were told in law school] – they are merely opinions on the law suits or proceedings before the court.

2. Furthermore, Acts of Congress must be made pursuant to Authority granted to Congress by the Constitution before they qualify as part of the “supreme Law”. If Acts of Congress are not authorized by the Constitution, the acts are mere usurpations and must be treated as such. See:https://publiushuldah.wordpress.com/…/nullification-smacki…/

The 2030 Agenda: This Month The UN Launches A Blueprint For A New World Order With The Help Of The Pope, by Michael Snyder

Everybody wants to rule the world, as an old song by that name from Tears for Fears reminds us. Nothing’s changed from 1985, when that song came out. From Michael Snyder at endoftheamericandream.com:

Did you know that the UN is planning to launch a “new universal agenda” for humanity in September 2015? That phrase does not come from me – it is actually right in the very first paragraph of the official document that every UN member nation will formally approve at a conference later this month. The entire planet is going to be committing to work toward 17 sustainable development goals and 169 specific sustainable development targets, and yet there has been almost a total media blackout about this here in the United States. The UN document promises that this plan will “transform our world for the better by 2030“, and yet very few Americans have even heard of the 2030 Agenda at this point. Instead, most of us seem to be totally obsessed with the latest celebrity gossip or the latest nasty insults that our puppet politicians have been throwing around at one another. It absolutely amazes me that more people cannot understand that Agenda 2030 is a really, really big deal. When will people finally start waking up?

Chart Of The Day: Since 12/2007—— 1.5 Million More Waiters/Bartenders, 1.4 Million Fewer Mfg. Jobs, by David Stockman

SLL thinks that pondering government statistics is only slightly more rewarding than pondering dancing angels on pin heads. However, this one simple chart conveys a worthwhile message: this hasn’t been much of a recovery. From David Stockman at davidstockmanscontracorner.com:

Putting this all together, since the start of the Second Great Depression, the US economy has lost 1.4 million manufacturing workers, but has more than made up for this with the addition of 1.5 million waiters and bartenders.

Explains the ever growing number of clueless dolts incapable of an original thought, incapable of critical thinking, incapable of even showing basic problem solving skills, and who couldn’t balance a checkbook if their lives depended on doing so.

Between the results of too much tee-vee,too much time playing video games, and too much time on Farcebook,Twatter, and Skankchat, and far too much time spent staring at the screens of the smart phones that are making them dumb-and the leftist indoctrination centers that our K-12 public re-education enters have become-we have created generations of idiots.

We are raising the second generation of kids who have no clue what it’s like to get up and go to work every day, they are overly sensitive to even the slightest criticisms, because the parents and leftist teachers have brainwashed them into believing they are all special snowflakes.

Most-likely 90% plus have no clue how to use even simple hand tools-let them near a chainsaw, bandsaw,or a table saw-and you’ll be taking them to the local ER,they have no clue to how change the oil in their own cars-no idea how to change a flat tire, sharpen a lawnmower blade, change a sparkplug, hell, most can’t even figure out how to mix the gas and oil for their own weedwhackers.

The current bath of kids cartoons is nothing but leftist propaganda-dumbing kids down and teaching them to submit to the police state at an even earlier age.

If you have kids-or grandkids-get them outside, away from the idiot box,the video games, smart phones, and off the intardnet.

Take them fishing,hiking,camping,shooting,hunting-teach them basic survival skills, teach them to use a map and compass, tech them to start a fire without buying mass produced tinder,”ferro rods”,”firesteels” and all the other high-tech crap-we still have access to lighters, matches, and it’s not that hard to get a few pieces of flint.

Get outdoors-get away from the interwebz, phones, and the tee-vee!

In a study published this week in the open access International Journal of Behavioral Nutrition and Physical Activity, Cambridge researchers found a significant relation between hours spent in front of the television and a decline in academic performance.

The study observed the sedentary time, or time absence of body movement, of 845 high school students between the ages of 14 and 16, for two years. Researchers found that each hour spent glued to the tube was linked with significantly lower scores in the student’s General Certificate of Secondary Education.

The study’s lead researcher Dr. Kirsten Corder, from Cambridge University’s Centre for Diet and Activity Research, said: “Television, computer games, and internet use were all harmful to academic performance, but TV viewing was the most detrimental.

“We can cautiously infer that increased screen time may lead to poorer academic performance for GCSEs.

“I certainly wouldn’t recommend banning television. But if teenagers or parents are concerned about GCSE results, one thing might be to look at the amount of TV viewing that they’re doing and maybe just try to be sensible about it.”

Researchers found that even if students studied more, but still watched television, their scores were still lower than those who watched less television.

This study by Cambridge is one of many studies conducted that illustrate the detrimental effects of television.

There are over 4000 studies that have been done on the effect of TV on children; some of which are very disturbing.

Did you know that the average time a parent spends having meaningful conversation with their child in a week is 3.5 minutes? Also, did you know that the average child spends 1,680 minutes a week watching TV?

Seventy percent of all day-care centers use television. Fifty-four percent of children age 4-6 when asked if they would rather spend time with their fathers or watch television, chose television. The average kid spends 900 hours a year in school and 1500 hours a year watching TV.

An 18-year-old high school student has witnessed 200,000 violent acts on TV, and an elementary student will have seen 8,000 murders. The average child will watch 20,000 commercials a year while the number one spender in youth advertisement is fast food. Fifty-four percent of the shows on TV are devoted to crime. Fifty-nine percent of Americans can name the Three Stooges while only 17 percent can name at least 3 Supreme Court justices.
