“Adding to a war chest he’s already stuffed to bursting at the seams along with fellow super-wealthy elites Bill Gates, Steve Ballmer and Paul Allen of Microsoft, and Nick Hanauer of … uh … Nick Hanauer, Michael Bloomberg is throwing another million dollars into the mix to promote the I-594gun control” initiative, Seattle Gun Rights Examiner Dave Workman reported this afternoon.”

“The first point is, a background check bill is impossible without creating registration data. That was admitted by no less an authority than Greg Ridgeway, Deputy Director of the National Institute of Justice, who wrote a summary report on gun violence prevention strategies in which he concluded “Effectiveness depends on the ability to reduce straw purchasing, requiring gun registration…”

“That won’t be persuasive on doctrinaire anti-gunners, who are all for registration and the confiscation that can follow. But it might move someone on the fence, especially if they know they’re being manipulated into thinking it’s just about background checks. Letting people know they’re being used as marks for a bait and switch scam may cause some to realize they’re not being respected.”

“You can further move open-minded people with another documented reality: Gun registration only applies to the law-abiding. Many people don’t realize that criminals don’t have to register their guns – the Supreme Court said so in Haynes v. United States, where it concluded to require registration would violate a prohibited person’s right against self-incrimination as articulated in the Fifth Amendment.”

“A Georgia SWAT team shot and killed an armed homeowner during a September 24 drug raid sparked by the word of a self-confessed meth addict and burglar who had robbed the property the previous day. No drugs were found. David Hooks, 59, becomes the 34th person to die in US domestic drug law enforcement operations so far this year.

According to WMAZ TV 13, Laurens County sheriff’s deputies with the drug task force and special response team (SWAT team) conducted a no-knock search on Hooks’ home in East Dublin on the evening of the 24th. When the raiders burst through the back door of the residence, they encountered Hooks’ carrying a shotgun. Multiple deputies opened fire, shooting [and] killing Hooks.”

“Mitchell Shook, an attorney for Hooks’s family, told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that deputies spent 44 hours searching Hooks’s home for drugs — yet they found nothing. The attorney also told the Macon Telegraph that the shooting didn’t happen the way the police say it did.”

http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-watch/wp/2014/10/06/meet-59-year-old-david-hooks-the-latest-drug-raid-fatality/

Did you notice that Mr. Hooks was the THIRTY FOURTH person killed by police in a drug raid this year?

They searched his home for FOURTY FOUR HOURS-after 44 hours-they found Nothing, nada, zip, zilch, zero.

Did you also notice that the cops “evidence” was the word of an admitted tweaker?

On the word of a guy who’s living in a drug induced fantasy world-You Too can be on the receiving end of a 4 am no-knock SWAT team raid in which your dog will be shot, and a flash-bang blindly tossed into your home landing in places like ummm… say the baby’s crib.

Last time I checked,we had 4th amendment protections against unreasonable search and seizure.

The word of a dope fiend is not the type of “oath or affirmation” the founding fathers meant when they wrote the Bill of Rights.

Last time I checked another thing-dogs can not swear oaths,or affirm a damn thing, other than what they are taught by their handlers-things like say “alert” for drugs on command.

The “war on drugs” is a failure-this shit needs to stop.

People who want to fry their brains by using mind-altering substances are going to do so whether it’s illegal,or legal-prohibition proved that.

Maybe people were smarter back then-they just admitted that this is not working-we are creating a whole “underclass” of criminals who are getting rich by smuggling liquor into the U.S.-we need to make alcohol legal again, and tax the shit out of it to pay for all our dumb ass government programs.

Now we have the same thing, only it’s drug cartels and gang-bangers getting rich by selling weed, cocaine, and heroin.

Now we have even more government programs-more people making $$$ from smuggling and selling drugs-and the idiot politicians can’t see the huge increase in tax $$$ ???????????????

Just stop the failed “war on drugs” legalize weed right away, decriminalize cocaine and heroin-stop sending drug users to prison-the felony conviction means they will never be able to get a decent job-this shit needs to stop-now.

Save the prison cells for violent criminals, and upper level drug dealers who deal heroin and meth-the drugs that are destroying families, causing people to rob and steal to support their drug habit, and causing our prisons to overflow.

Then the cops could stop running around in their ninja jammies at 4 am,and try to arrest the murderers, rapists, and upper level heroin and meth dealers.

That plan has to work better than the current waste of time and $$$.

The asshattery from anti-gun douchenozzles @ The Coalition to Stop Gun Violence…

“The Coalition to Stop Gun Violence wants Wicomico County Sheriff Mike Lewis’ teaching certification to be revoked.

The group started a campaign after Lewis and his comments on gun rights were brought into the national spotlight.”

What the sheriff said that got their panties in a bunch…

“As long as I’m the sheriff in this county, I will not allow the federal government to come in here and strip my citizens of their right to bear arms. I can tell you this, if they attempt to do that, it would be an all-out civil war, no question about it.”

From a Cop…

“The Drug War, in addition to being unwinnable, has gained us more enemies than anything else over the last half-century. We’ve gained all these enemies because we cops have embraced drug enforcement and all the tactics that go with it. Every time we dig around someone’s groin for drugs, or breach a door for a no-knock warrant against a marijuana grower, or throw a flash-bang into a toddler’s crib during a raid, we turn more and more people against us. The excesses committed in our crusade to eradicate drugs have been so egregious, we’ve actually seen a grand jury in law-and-order Texas refuse to indict a marijuana dealer who killed a cop raiding his house. That grand jury, and much of America, decided drug use may be bad, but kicking in people’s doors to stop drug use is worse.

In most cops’ minds, “anyone involved with drugs” equals “bad guy”. I used to feel that way myself. And granted, a lot of drug users and dealers really are bad guys. But when we arrest for simple possession, we’re not discriminating between peaceful users and actual criminal thugs who happen to use or sell drugs. We don’t need to treat the kid smoking a joint in his apartment the same as the Mexican Mafia murderer who makes his living selling tons of weed and killing rival dealers.

For years I’ve heard drug users say, “Aw man, I ain’t hurtin’ nobody,” when we arrest them. For years, I’ve heard cops jokingly say, “Aw man, he ain’t hurtin’ nobody,” when they’re making fun of someone under arrest for drugs. I’ve said it myself. But now I realize a lot of them actually weren’t hurting anyone, and arresting them literally did nothing to protect the public. All we did was further overload the criminal justice system, create years of problems for people who weren’t criminals, and convince ourselves we had somehow accomplished something positive for society. And at the end of the shift many of us went home and had a beer, even though all cops know alcohol causes the same problems we accuse illegal drugs of causing.”

“Secretary of Health and Human Services Sylvia Burwell said that despite the best efforts of health officials, Americans have to prepare for the reality that there may be more cases of Ebola in the United States.

“We had one case and I think there may be other cases, and I think we have to recognize that as a nation,” Burwell said at a media breakfast hosted by the journal Health Affairs and held at the Washington, D.C. offices of the Kaiser Family Foundation.

Burwell’s comments come as screening of travelers from Ebola-affected countries in West Africa has been stepped up at U.S. airports. On Wednesday, the first patient diagnosed with the virus on U.S. soil died in Texas.”

http://washingtonexaminer.com/article/2554588

How many more times are TPTB going to change their story?

What happens when there’s more cases of ebola than hospital beds equipped to handle the disease?

What happens when there are not enough trained medical personnel to take care of the number of people who have ebola?

What happens when someone with ebola pukes all over a subway car,or a city bus?

What happens when someone with ebola doesn’t show symptoms, and is booked into a city or county jail, then starts puking all over the facility?

What happens when a guy-or gal, takes a bunch of ibuprofen,or Tylenol to hide their fever, then pukes allover a plane on a transatlantic flight?

All it’s gonna take is one person to puke all over a crowded, enclosed area, and it’s game over-then ebola spreads like wildfire…

CDC said this yesterday…

“Officials from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Wednesday there is no way to eliminate the risk of Ebola in America without controlling the virus in West Africa.

“We remain convinced we can contain the outbreak in West Africa,” Tom Frieden, the director of the CDC, told reporters. “If we fail to do that, it will be a very difficult situation, and it could become a long-term risk to the United States.”

Frieden said the West African nations of Sierra Leone and Guinea are experiencing increases in Ebola cases, while Liberia has experienced a decrease in cases.

“The challenge is how rapidly the disease is spreading,” Frieden said. “In West Africa, we are far from being out of the woods.”

http://washingtonexaminer.com/article/2554572

They can not stop ebola in West Africa, yet they keep telling us we have nothing to worry about.

Something tells me they are simply full of shit-they know damn well they can do nothing to stop ebola unless no one who has been to West Africa is permitted to enter the USA-period,that’s the only way to stop any more cases of ebola from occurring here.

Why are people who have been in the area where the ebola outbreak is located allowed to enter the U.S.?

Everyone should be calling their senators and congress critters and demanding that no one who has been in west Africa be allowed to enter the USA.

What’s Coming Next

From…  Raconteur Report

“Duncan was merely the FIRST Ebola patient we’ll be getting (as long as the jacktards in charge keep the pipeline open), rather than the LAST.
Duncan’s problems are over, and even the 50 people in Dallas sweating bullets until the 20th aren’t the major concern.
The problem is the next 1, or 5, or 20 Duncans who get off of planes in NYC, DC, Boston, Miami, Houston, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Philadelphia, etc. Not if, but when, exactly as the CDC told every hospital in the country two weeks before Duncan walked into Texas Health Presbyterian, and started the party.
Flight crews on commercial airplanes are no better trained nor equipped, the “screenings”, there, here, or anywhere, will do little to catch infected people, and nothing at all to stop those like Duncan in the latent incubation stage of Ebola.
Like TSA screenings of your shoes and cavity searches for underwear bombs, it’s kabuki theatre to simulate action, with no real effect.
Hospitals are mostly no better off, and will respond, each time, exactly as THP did: poorly, clumsily, and while endangering the health of everyone concerned.
Everybody has to burn their hand on the stove before they really get what “hot” means.”
