Want to End Urban-Rural Conflict? Stop Looking for a Victor. – Reason.com
Posted: March 14, 2019 by gamegetterII in Uncategorized“Whether red vs. blue or city vs. country, political tensions are best addressed by letting people run their own lives.”
“There’s a spreading revolt against city-spawned restrictions on self-defense rights by the residents of sparsely settled counties and the officials who represent them. The issue “has largely underscored the rift between rural and urban areas,” the Wall Street Journalnoted over the weekend. It’s a rift that’s widening as the political divide in the United States takes on a strongly geographical character—less along state or regional lines than at the borders between dense populations and open country.
With hostile people from divergent cultures and political affiliations glaring at each other across the nation’s city limits, it’s time to reconsider the tendency towards centralization of power in our country that leaves so many people groaning under laws and policies they find abhorrent. If we really want to defuse tensions, we should devolve decision-making as far down the political food chain as possible—preferably all the way to individuals.
“Virtually every major city (100,000-plus population) in the United States of America has a different outlook from the less populous areas that are closest to it,” Josh Kron marveled in The Atlanticafter the 2012 election demonstrated divisions that have only deepened since”

Posted: March 14, 2019 by gamegetterII in UncategorizedRegime changes in Iraq and Libya, Syria’s war, Venezuela’s crisis, sanctions on Cuba, Iran, Russia, and North Korea are all reflections of a new global imperialism imposed by a core of capitalist nations in support of trillions of dollars of concentrated investment wealth. This new world order of mass capital has become a totalitarian empire of inequality and repression.

Posted: March 13, 2019 by gamegetterII in UncategorizedDon’t expect the Republicans to show any spine when it comes to protecting Second Amendment rights. From Ron Paul at ronpaulinstitute.org:
The House of Representatives recently passed legislation that would expand the national background check system to require almost everyone selling firearms, including private collectors who supplement their incomes by selling firearms at gun shows, to perform background checks on the potential buyers. The bill has a section purporting to bar creation of a national firearms registry. However, the expanded background check system will require the government to compile lists of those buying and selling guns. In other words, it creates a de facto national gun registry.
Similar to the experience with other types of prohibition, making it more difficult to legally buy a gun will enhance the firearms black market. Criminals, terrorist, and even deranged mass shooters will thus have no problem obtaining firearms.
It is no coincidence…

I know,I suck, haven’t written anything since I made the first posts on the page.
Had some medical issues, followed by a bunch of shit to deal with with one of the kids that cost me way too much $$$,leading to me having to work way too many hours.
That’s my excuse(s) anyhow…
Now that I got that shit out of the way – I’m gonna start writing at least one post a week to add to that page.
There is a reason I started with all the food safety info, and the basics.
In any long term disaster/collapse/TEOTWAWKI scenario, you will run out of MRE’s,Mountain House, etc. a whole lot faster than you think.
You will not only end up having to prepare meals from scratch, you will have to provide a whole lot of your own food.
Which means-grow it,as in gardening.
Raise livestock of some sort, such as chickens for eggs and meat, animals that provide milk, maybe hogs for food, have a farm pond with fish in it for food-(not freakin’ nasty ass Tilapia if you have any sense.)
There’s a steep learning curve to all of that – you should already be doing all of those things. Now is the time to learn, and learn from your mistakes – not when your life depends on it.
You are simply not going to provide your meat by hunting, trapping and fishing – that’s idiotic fantasy bullshit. Unless you live in say Alaska far away from the cities – even then it ain’t like your yearly deer hunting trip.
There are also a lot of food items – that many don’t consider food – that are essential for cooking, that everyone should have stocked up,as they are not quick and easy things to resupply.
They are things you need to have if you plan to remain well fed and healthy.
I’ll cover these things in next post, along with reasons why you need them.
Then,I’ll get back into cooking basics, and how to apply these things when you do not have the kitchen in your home, and all that goes with it to prepare meals.

Americans have watched for two years as the investigation of Donald Trump has unfolded like a slow-motion train wreck. The entire investigation was based on what we now know was a fictional dossier. A document paid for by the Hillary campaign, and created by a gang of creepy dirty-trick operatives with a long history of sliming innocent people.
Throughout this entire period critics of the investigation have been silenced by the insistence of its supporters that “we only want to find out the truth”.
The claim that Trump might, possibly, somehow be a Russian stooge was so terrible, so devastating to the country if true, that it justified an investigation, regardless of how shaky the evidence was.
Many sincere people were either convinced or cowed by this argument, and as a result the Mueller probe has been allowed to continue to its inevitable whimper of an end.
But what of…
