  1. […] The Oregon militants, who call themselves the Citizens for Constitutional Freedom, have been ”occupying” a federal building on the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge in Oregon since January 2. They have vowed to “be killed if necessary.” They’re led by the sons of Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy, whose wife posted the now-mocked supply list online. What a disgrace! Where is the FBI and federal government security to stop these criminals from destroying a wildlife refuge that belongs to all of us. Why can these selfish individuals can get away with this takeover for almost two weeks with no consequences? Hotheads with weapons visit to resupply; conservative state legislators visit with support; armed vigilantes come from all over the US to “protect” the site. Now actual fences are torn down violating the rules of the refuge while government officials DO NOTHING?
Why are we afraid of standing up to this type of radical, religious, fanatical behavior. I want my Federal Wildlife Refuges left alone for the wildlife and protected for future generations. I don’t want short sighted, ignorant, conservative, religious whackos to steal this land for their selfish aims; meaning unregulated grazing, logging, and mining. Why is even the left leaning press not condemning this takeover for the criminal action that it is? Why are so many conservatives not viewing this bunch of criminals for what they really are; self-indulgent zealots who don’t know the meaning of the common good and only see the world for what they can selfishly extract from it. These people ARE NOT HEROS or role models for our children. Why do we put up with this for week after week after week with no action or resolution?
The reason is simple. We have become a weak nation with a declining culture. As a teacher, I have seen this social degradation in the educational system over the past 25 years as we dumb down and over-accommodate our students with the wrong belief that everyone is “special”. We do not need to meet the demands of every Bundy who wants more than they deserve. So many fringe elements demand special accommodations to meet their selfish demands. Why do we put up with this bizarre culture where political correctness runs wild and shared responsibility is ignored.
Radical left wing “Black Lives Matter” protestors shut down a shopping mall and whacko right wing “Ranchers” take over a wildlife refuge. The media and government sit idly by and accommodate them as if somehow their ideas may be right. THEIR IDEAS ARE SIMPLY WRONG! We have become a nation of the intellectually weak, unwilling to quickly condemn those who are wrong. We have become a nation of people afraid to act against fringe elements. Doing so, we risk horribly damaging our standing as a nation and our collective future as a people. Why are we so afraid to firmly condemn people who are WRONG?
There are those of us out here who want to see the BIRDS take back this refuge.

Why are YOU condemning people who are standing up for those who were screwed over by the BLM and the USFWS?
No one is stopping you from going to the refuge to watch birds.
Those of you labeling the people who are peacefully protesting at the Malheur wildlife refuge as criminals and terrorists have no problem with the blacklives mater people disrupting others lives, blocking traffic on heavily traveled roads, ruining people’s lunch and dinner out at restaurants, preventing people from doing their Christmas shopping,
Or the Occupy idiots camping out on public property in cities, creating a huge mess, women were getting raped in the Occupy camps,a couple of them were a few miles from our home outside Cleveland,Ohio.
These ranchers had grazing rights, cattle do not harm the grasslands-they help the lands by fertilizing the soil, and spreading the grass seeds in their manure.
ranchers do not let cattle overgraze an area-they move the cows to ungrazed land.
No one is demanding,or asking for unregulated cattle grazing, logging or mining-the BLM and the USFWS have enough land under their control-they do NOT need to expand their land holdings every year, they do not need to force ranchers off of land that’s been in their families for generations.
That is the problem-the BLM and USFWS act on behalf of the enviro-whackos,and give those who libve in the areas zero input-they just force them off their grazing lands-putting many ranchers out of business.
      This has to stop.
Most of the people who are protesting are the ones who live in areas where the BLM and USFWS are denying grazing rights by closing more and more land to grazing-all because that’s what the enviro-and animal “rights” whackos demand.
Enough of this bullshit, people matter too,not just animals.
You claim you were a teacher-why didn’t you speak up about the bullshit when you were only teaching kids how to pass the next test? Why did you willingly help with the leftist indoctrination of our children?
Why didn’t correct the the stuff left out of history books? Why didn’t you correct the history books that said there was still a debate about the meaning of the second amendment when the SCOTUS has held since the 1800’s that the 2nd amendment describes an individual right?
Why didn’t you pint out that the term “the people” as used in the other 9 amendments that comprise the bill of rights refers to all of us-all citizens, that the term still means the same in the 2nd amendment?
There’s hundreds,if not thousands of things teachers could have, and should have corrected-but no,they just continued the leftist indoctrination of our children.
research the case against the Hammonds-see foryourself what was done to them-even the sheriff-an ex BLM employee- testified against them.
The federal prosecutor resigned because of stalking charges-plus a whole lot of BLM,USFWS,and prosecutorial misconduct.
If you want to see birds-go to the refuge and see birds-no one there will stop you.

No,I’m far from ignorant-you on the other hand are the one who is truly ignorant,as you believe the one-sided leftist media portrayal of the events at the Malheur wildlife refuge.
Did you bother to research the Hammond case?
Do you know about the prosecutorial misconduct?
Do you know that the BLM,USFS,USFWS,and the EPA have and are forcing ranchers to sell their land? Land that has been in families for generations?
How would you feel if the government of your country told you that you HAD to sell your land, the land which is where your only source of income comes from?
How would you feel if when you refused to sell your land so yet another “nature preserve”,”wilderness area”,”wildlife refuge”,or “national monument” could be created on your land?
How would you feel if the BLM,USFWS,USFS,and EPA all worked in concert to force you to sell your land?
How would you feel if the BLM blocked your only source of water for your cattle off by blocking off the road you have used for decades to access and maintain the flow of water to the stock tanks your cattle and horses drink from? Or how about if the BLM just decided one day to fence off the spring that is the water source for your cattle, and denied you access to the water?
How would you feel if you were forced to sell the ranch and the cattle, horses and equipment that your family had used for generations to provide for themselves?
In the USA,the BLM,USFS,and USFWS all bow to the demands of the environmental extremists, and land use policy is dictated by said extremists on what is supposedly PUBLIC land?
farming, ranching, logging, mining, oil and gas drilling,hunting,fishing,trapping,ATV/dirt bike,4wd trucks are all permitted to be operated on many areas of public lands in the western U.S.
All these people ARE part of the PUBLIC,they ALL have as much right to use the land as the enviro-nazis.
The “welfare rancher” idiocy being spread by the left is just that idiocy-ranchers maintain and improve the grazing lands, they provide water sources that ALL wildlife use to survive.
They maintain miles and miles of fences, gates, roads and water is often piped for miles to allow cattle, horses and all other wildlife to have access to clean, fresh water.
farmers, ranchers, hunters, trappers, fishermen, loggers, oil and gas drillers PAY for their use of public lands.
All of the above mentioned groups maintain and/or improve the lands that they pay for the right to use.
The only “welfare” users of public lands in the USA are the enviro-nazis-they don’t have to but permits to hike and take pictures-all the others pay a fee to use the public lands.
The enviro-whackos are the ones who will only eat grass-fed beef.
Where do they think grass fed beef comes from?
Where are they going to get their grass fed beef when they’ve put the last individual rancher out of business, and forced him or her to sell the family land?
Do yourself a favor so that YOU do not appear to be so ignorant-research what was done to the Hammond family.
They were charged as “terrorists for setting a backfire to save their livestock, home, barns, and other outbuildings.
The BLM,USFS,and USFWS set backfires all the time, other ranchers have set backfires that got out of control, and burned some of the BLM range land-why weren’t they charged as “terrorists?
Why aren’t those employed by government agencies charged as terrorists when a backfire they have set burns homes, barns, and livestock?
Ammon BUndy and the others at the Malheur wildlife refuge may not have chosen the best way to draw attention to the evil being done by the federal government’s agencies in the western U.S.,but attention did need to be drawn to the problem.
Watch the “news briefings” that are available on video all over the interwebz-where is the “armed militia”?
There is no “armed militia” at the Malheur refuge-that’s just made for tee vee hype by the leftists in the media who despise anyone to the right of their heroes Joe Stalin and Karl Marx.
The media is putting out a false narrative about the events taking place at the refuge.
The things they are protesting about are valid-the BLM et al is abusing thier power in the west, and forcing ranchers off their land and out of business.
Open your eyes and your mind-stop believing all the bullshit being fed to you by the media.
Then, just maybe-you will no longer be one of the ignorant.

It seems to me that you are violating my rights, and the rights of all citizens by means of your “occupation” (home invasion) of federal parkland. Federal parkland has been set aside precisely because ranchers, oil men, and “outfitters” have a dismal and wretched history, when unfettered, of despoiling the land, the flora and the fauna for generations of future citizens. The Constitution of the United States does not prohibit the establishment or the regulation of public land or its use in any manner whatsoever. No amount of manufactured sob stories about ranchers losing their land through the imagined malfeasance of government can justify any private use of public land under any circumstances. It seems to me that any past allowance of the use of these public lands by private entities as in appealing to the “good and nobility in man” was a mistake and only fed an illegitimate appetite. What has in fact emerged is the worst in man – the greed and avarice of modern day Robin Hoods masquerading as unregulated militias threatening by force of arms, as in defending themselves while committing their misdeeds, to take for themselves unimpeded right to our parklands at our expense. These tone deaf arrogant little sneering traitorous grasping usurpers are neither patriots nor heroes. It is time now to set aside the paranoia and take a reality check. Just as certain citizens in the Middle East have assuaged their desperation by appealing to an imagined “glorious time” of supremacy during medieval history to relive the fiction of the original assassins and califates, our present day “patriots” need to reassess their unrealistic obsession with the American Revolution for what it really is. It was the founding. And, the Constitution of the United States does have something to say about taking up arms against the government. To now follow in the path of Timothy James McVeigh would prove to not be the most rewarding hobby nor fruitful endeavor toward improving one’s lot in life. In the short time each of us has left in this world, one should not fritter it away in self-delusion. And, go easy with that sky-god you’ve been talking to. All the best to you. And regards.

Obviously you are another person who has not bothered to do even a minimum of research into the case against Hammond’s,in which there was clearly prosecutorial misconduct.
The BLM and USFWS on behalf of environmental nutcases is forcing ranchers off of their own land-not public lands-their own land-land that has been in families for generations.
Cattle grazing is legal on public lands,as is logging and oil and gas drilling.
The enviro whackos do not get to dictate what the rest of us can and can not do on public lands.
Ranchers, loggers, hunters, trappers, fishermen, target shooters,atv/dirt bike riders, and 4wd trucks are all part of the public.
No one at the Malheur wildlife refuge has threatened anyone, the legally armed,non-violent protesters have merely stated that they will defend themselves should the BLM,FBI,State Police,or the Sheriff who is an ex BLM employee decide to get froggy and attempt another Waco style attack.
No one is following Mcveigh,no one is trying to overthrow the government or any of the other nonsense the leftist media, and groups like the SPLC-Southern Preposterous Lie Center claim.
The peaceful protesters are NOT a “militia” they are simply legally armed citizens.
There is a huge difference between national park lands and BLM lands.
Logging is legal in our national forests.
Because of all the absurd restrctions placed on loggers and the public due to environmental groups filing endless streams of lawsuits that cost ALL of us $$$,no one is allowed to remove deadfall, forest service roads are no longer maintained, making it more difficult for firefighters to get to fires, and the fires burn longer and hotter because all the deadfall is laying around as a fuel source for the fires. When citizens and logging companies removed the deadfall-fires were easier to control.
Read up on the Hammond case-there was a whole lot done wrong to the family by the BLM and USFWS,
their water source was blocked off by the USFWS,among other things in an effort to get the Hammonds to sell their land for yet another “national monument”.
It’s long past time to stop the enviro nazis from dictating land use policies.
There is nothing wrong with logging-it helps the health of the forest when done correctly-which is the way all logging is done today.
There is very little clear-cutting,almost all timber is harvested by selective cutting, leaving some of the mature trees, and giving other trees the room to grow.
Cattle do not harm the land any more than billions of bison did. Both animals helped the grasslands, they improve the quality of the grasses.
There needs to be a balance-it can not be all the enviro whackos demands are met,and those who actually LIVE on their own land near the BLM/USFS lands get no say.
Whether you choose to believe it or not-the facts are that the BLM and USFWS are forcing people off of their land, and taking the land for their own use. The abuse of the endangered species act by groups like the Center for Biological Diversity has to stop.
People matter, not just animals, not just the local scenery.
The Hammonds were railroaded because they refused to sell their land.

99% of the people who have no clue about farming, ranching, logging, mining, and oil and gas drilling live in the big cities, along the NE Corridor,or on the left coast.
Clueless morons who sick the enviro-whackos who abuse the endangered species act,and the federal court system on any person or company you disagree with-like the whole spotted owl clusterfuck-after causing loggers to be maimed for life, and destroying millions of dollars worth of private property,it turns out the northern spotted owl was NEVER in ANY danger from logging-yet thousands of jobs were lost in multiple parts of the west all based on lies by the enviro-whackos.
The same enviro-whackos who caused the BLM/USFWS to prosecute the Hammonds for setting backfires-which even the freakin BLM and USFS do on a regular basis-all because they refused to sell their ranch so yet another “national monument”/wildlife area could be created-one free of any cows.
The corrupt BLM,USFWS,USFS,and the enviro nutcaswes who abuse the courts and the ESA are the assholes in this instance-not people who have had their lives ruined, and livlihoods destroyed by corrupt government agencies forcing them off of land their families have owned for decades.

yes,any company or individual who grazes cattle or extracts resources,be it the 10 cord personal use firewood cutting permits available in many national and state forests,or those panning for gold,or those with small to large mining operations, logging, oil&gas drilling-all pay a fee to use the public lands.
All the above mentioned things are legally allowed on BLM/USFS lands.
The use fees are higher for bigger companies than for individuals-so anyone be it company or individual pays for their use of the public lands.

The environmental “movement’ created use rules on most western national forests has created dangerous fire conditions by banning the removal of deadfall, banning almost all logging, and no longer maintaining USFS roads.
The deadfall left on forest floors creates extra fuel for wildfires-and is the reason fires are larger, burn hotter, burn longer, and are more difficult to put out.
Clearing deadfall, and selective harvest logging improve the health of a forest, and lower the fire danger.
National forests are supposed to be logged,it’s part of the reason they were created.
The BLM,USFS and USFWS have treated ranchers horribly all over the west. They have forced a huge number of ranchers to sell their land, land that has been in families for generations-all to “protect” some endangered species that was placed on the endangered list due to environmental groups misuse/abuse of the endangered species act.
Groups like the Center for Biological Diversity file a never ending stream of lawsuits-which cost billions of taxpayer dollars. The USFWS,BLM,and USFS settle out of court most of the time, and cave to the demands of the gaia worshiping enviro whackos.
People matter, the people who live in the ever increasing billions of acres of “protected habitat” have their livlihoods taken from them, loggers, outfitters, miners, farmers and ranchers are all put out of business due to environmental activism.
It has reached a level of absurdity that is insane.
Ranchers who’s families have held grazing rights for over a century are being forced to sell their property to the BLM,USFS,or to create yet another “national monument” or “nature preserve”
Do some research on what really happened to the Hammond family-they were railroaded, they were made an example to the rest of the ranchers who refuse to sell their land to create the Steens mountain national monument.
There was clearly prosecutorial misconduct in the Hammond case, the fed prosecutor who resentenced them as “terrorists” for staring a back-burn fire to protect their homes, buildings, and property from lightning caused wildfires burning out of control.
The poaching claim is pure fiction-invented out of whole cloth by the prosecution because it would sound good to a jury-there is zero evidence of poaching. The prosecution manipulated a mentally disabled young relative of the Hammonds in inventing the poaching story.
The fed prosecutor is now on a “leave of absence” due to stalking charges filed by an employee.
There’s a whole lot wrong with the Hammond case-and it’s an example of how the BLM treats ranchers and farmers all over the west.
Ranchers,farmers,loggers,miners,hunters,trappers,fishermen,ATV/dirt bike/4wd truck/jeep users are the public-the public is not just the environmental movement’s idea of the public-those mentioned above have as much right to use public lands as the enivro-whackos.

And since you got your panties in a wad so much, I decided to go ahead and donate to them. Real patriots support real patriots, and you’re obviously not a patriot.

In closing, ken, I think this quote from Samuel Adams (1776) applies quite well to you:

“If we love wealth better than liberty, the tranquillity of servitude, than the animating contest of freedom – go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.”

Its not a peaceful protest. They are preventing the use of public lands by the public and they are doing it by means of force, with guns. They are threatening to kill anyone who comes up there. Just because they have not yet shot anyone doesnt make it peaceful., If someone breaks into your house and holds your kids hostage with a knife at their throat, but doesnt actually cut them, is that being peaceful? are you an idiot?

it IS a peaceful protest-the people happen to be LEGALLY armed, they have threatened no one, they have not threatened to kill anyone, they have merely stated that they will defend themselves if the feds try an armed assault on the refuge-that would make the BLM/FBI et-al the aggressors.
