The Columbus Dispatch is reporting that members of the East Guernsey Local Board of Education in Guernsey County took action Monday night that they hope will secure added safety for the children of the district.

After a two-hour executive session, the board unanimously adopted a resolution authorizing the arming of select members of the staff.

More specifically, the board agreed to provide “written authorization for certain persons designated by the superintendent to convey deadly weapons or dangerous ordnance in a school safety zone, or to possess a deadly weapon or dangerous ordnance in a school safety zone of the East Guernsey Local School District.”

In order to be an armed staff member, he or she must be permitted under Ohio law to carry a concealed handgun.

Additionally, the staff member must undergo tactical training and re-certify annually.

Meanwhile, in Butler Co., Ohio, Sheriff Rick Jones is making international news after calling for armed teachers in schools, and then advertising a free class for them to get concealed handgun license training. In less than 48 hours, more than 300 teachers applied for 50 available seats.

In response to the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School Shooting in Newtown, Connecticut, which claimed the lives of 20 children and 6 adult staff members, Buckeye Firearms Foundation launched an emergency response training program here in Ohio for teachers, administrators, and other school staff.

Called FASTER Saves Lives(Faculty/Administrator Safety Training & Emergency Response), the nonprofit program has to date provide high-level training to nearly 1300 teachers and staff members from 225 school districts in 12 states. This includes teachers and staff in 76 of Ohio’s 88 counties.

“The response from Ohio educators has been more enthusiastic than we could have ever imagined,” said Joe Eaton, FASTER Program Director.

By Richard A. Lawhern, Guest Columnist In March 2016, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention published a deeply biased and scientifically unsupported guideline for the prescription of opioid pain relievers.  Congress made this “guideline” mandatory in the Department of Veterans Affairs three

My apologies for the delay in getting info out to those interested.

Between work and a kid in the hospital,my wife breaking her arm in two places, and just life in general,I have not had any time to write a post,or e-mail those interested in lawsuit.

This is what’s going on so far:

Lawyer is filing whatever it is he has to file, after that, there’s a process for lawsuit to get certified as a class action.

At that point, the lawyer/his staff will need to have everyone’s e-mail so that they can get details from each person.

Once that happens,I’ll continue to post updates here, and at https://gamegetterii.blogspot.com/

Not sure how much lawsuit info is available via court websites,I believe it is not public info while lawsuit is ongoing. Should have asked atty, but forgot to.

Once I get a case# for class action,I’ll e-mail to everyone,so you can see whatever info is available via court websites.

The attorney/his staff will also update everyone as lawsuit progresses.

I would like to find more people interested in being part of class action as well, more people is always better  than fewer.

I will e-mail link to this post to everyone who’s e-mail I have.

Legal proceedings take way to long in my opinion, but nothing any of us can do about this.

Back in November, when I first started trying to get class action lawsuit going,I did not think it would take a couple months to get enough people interested to form class action, nor did I know how slowly lawsuits move through the courts.

I’m not a lawyer-I worked 22 years as executive chef in hotels and private country clubs, got sick of always being inside and working every holiday.

Worked in building trades after that,as I did that part time while working foodservice anyhow.

Studied mechanical engineering and architectural engineering in college-what I learned there is a long way from law school.

Guy I was working for in restaurant kitchen talked me into apprenticeship program to become chef-the $$$ at that time was better than what I would have made as engineer-so that’s why work ad college are not related.

Thanks to all who have shown interest in becoming part of lawsuit-it’s going to happen, just took a lot more time and effort than I thought it would.

Anyone else who wants to contact me about lawsuit…

e-mail me @ gamegetterII@yahoo.com

“So, you listen to me. Listen to me! Television is not the truth. Television’s a god-damned amusement park. Television is a circus, a carnival, a traveling troupe of acrobats, storytellers, dancers, singers, jugglers, sideshow freaks, lion tamers, and football players. We’re in the boredom-killing business. So if you want the Truth, go to God! Go to your gurus. Go to yourselves! Because that’s the only place you’re ever gonna find any real truth. But, man, you’re never gonna get any truth from us. We’ll tell you anything you wanna hear. We lie like hell. We’ll tell you that, uh, Kojak always gets the killer and that nobody ever gets cancer at Archie Bunker’s house. And no matter how much trouble the hero is in, don’t worry. Just look at your watch. At the end of the hour, he’s gonna win. We’ll tell you any shit you want to hear.

Liberty’s Teeth: Arms and Freedom by Bill Buppert

“Over 98% of all mass shootings in the USSA since 1950 have occurred in gun free zones where the government mandated private disarmament or corporate entities that licked the foul taint of the government to mimic compliance. For the shooters, guaranteed a rather hazard free opportunity to maim and kill as many disarmed humans as they wished or found the time for.

The FBI apparatchiks define a mass shooting as four or more people killed and/or injured during a single shooting incident, and that definition typically is widely accepted by law enforcement agencies, criminal justice experts and the media. One can see the NYPD providing a demonstration here when they shot nine bystanders while trying to apprehend a shooter. Please note that the geniuses in the thick black and blue line charged the man they were shooting at with the casualties.”

Just going by NICS background checks from 1998-2018,there were 280,482,910 background checks performed.

Not every check was for just one firearm,as you can buy multiple firearms using a single background check.

NICS checks-19998-2018

How many millions of guns were sold prior to NICS being implemented?

Just using modern firearms -(after metallic cartridges replaced black powder muzzleloaders)-as a guess, starting in late 1800’s with guns like say the Winchester ’92 and ’94,and Colt revolvers, there were likely at least another roughly 300 million firearms-or more- manufactured and sold in the approximately 100 years between modern firearms being mass produced and the NICS check being implemented.

The late WeaponsMan did a post on this topic here

From that post-

“We now have 329 million firearms, with fairly trustworthy data and estimates in which all the most conservative assumptions were used, introduced to the US on-the-books market from 1999-2016.”

“Absent a better idea, we can say that the US inventory of firearms is almost certainly between 412 and 660 million, not the lower numbers recently trumpeted in the media.”

Another blogger-

Extrano’s Alley

addressed the topic here

“Between the number of surving guns from the 19th century, production and d survival numbers from the 20th Century, and manufacturing and import numbers for the 21st Century we should have between 710 and 770 million guns that are either serviceable, or easily restored to service. That is, guns that have no broken parts or serious internal rust problems, needing only a clean and lube to restore to working order.”

“On that basis, we ESTIMATE there are 740 million firearms that are A.) Serviceable as is: B.) or easily restored to service. This does not include firearms in caliber such as .41 Rimfire for which ammunition is essentially unavailable.”

Another thing to consider is that there has been an increase in home manufacturing using 80% lowers for A-R’s,and 80% receivers for handguns like the 1911,plus you can now 3D print a functional firearm.

Then there’s the modern blackpowder firearms which are not included in BATFEIEIO data,as they do not require a NICS background check.

As machine shops upgraded/upgrade to CNC machines, there have been hundreds of thousands if not millions of used, fully functional lathes and milling machines sold to individuals. Many of the guys-and ladies- who bought those machines are gun owners.

Not much you can’t make when you own a lathe and milling machine,if you own those, you likely have the rest of the tools to make pretty much anything you want or need.

Taking all the methods of home manufacture mentioned above, along with the plethora of ways to make your own functional single shot firearm with basic hand tools,my own scientific wild assed guess is there are somewhere north of 750-850 million firearms owned by citizens in the U.S. (Thanks to chulai1968 for catching my mistake-I typed 100 million originally)
