Noted economist and actor Ben Stein, famous for his dry, monotone, comedic delivery, made an appearance on America’s News Headquarters on Fox News on Sunday to discuss President Obama’s economic policies. Stein believes the president’s policies are not only bad for America from an economic standpoint, but that they are also dividing Americans along racial lines.”

“This president is the most racist president there has ever been in America,” Stein said. “He is purposely trying to use race to divide Americans.”

“They’re handing out pamphlets about this — and it’s been described a lot in the Wall Street Journal, ‘Look, the Republican candidates are targeting President Obama because he’s black and you’re black, so you gotta go out and support him,'” he said. “That’s just nonsense.”

Stein pointed out one undeniable fact that Democrats are loathe to admit: “The Republicans are the most pro-black party there’s ever been. The Republicans are the ones who passed all the civil rights laws back in the 60s, not the Democrats.”.

This is why Ebola won’t be stopped in Africa…

Thousands break Ebola quarantine to find food

DAKAR, Senegal (AP) — Thousands of people in Sierra Leone are being forced to violate Ebola quarantines to find food because deliveries are not reaching them, aid agencies said.

Large swaths of the West African country have been sealed off to prevent the spread of Ebola, and within those areas many people have been ordered to stay in their homes. The government, with help from the U.N.’s World Food Program, is tasked with delivering food and other services to those people. But there are many “nooks and crannies” in the country that are being missed, Jeanne Kamara, Christian Aid’s Sierra Leone representative, said Tuesday.

The Ebola outbreak in West Africa has killed nearly 5,000 people and authorities have gone to extreme lengths to bring it under control, like the quarantines in Sierra Leone. The country said Tuesday that it would keep a state of emergency, which includes restrictions on large gatherings, in place for a full year.

Similar measures have also been used in Liberia and Guinea, the two other countries hardest hit by the epidemic.

While public health authorities have said such measures may be necessary to bring under control an Ebola outbreak unlike any other, the Disasters Emergency Committee, an umbrella organization for aid organizations, warned on Monday that they were cutting off food to thousands of people.

“The quarantine of Kenema, the third largest town in Sierra Leone, is having a devastating impact on trade – travel is restricted so trucks carrying food cannot freely drive around,” the committee said in a statement. “Food is becoming scarce, which has led to prices increasing beyond the reach of ordinary people.”

Obama, Holder demand transparency from cops in Ferguson

Posted: November 3, 2014 by gamegetterII in Uncategorized

Takes a hell of a lot of balls-or an act of desperation-for this admin to demand transparency from anyone.

In the midst of the Department of Justice (DOJ) investigation of Missouri’s Ferguson Police Department, ordered by the soon-to-be-retired Attorney General Eric Holder, on Sunday some news organizations ran headlines that suggested a new controversy came to light: That the police attempted to restrict air traffic during the days and nights of civil unrest.

The New Black Panther Party stoked up the protesters in Ferguson while the news media focused on the police officers' garb and equipment.

“Here in the United States of America, police should not be bullying and arresting reporters who are just doing their jobs. The local authorities [in Ferguson], including police, have a responsibility to be transparent and open.” President Barack Obama was quoted as saying during the period of unrest.

“This [statement] come from the leader [Barack Obama] of the most non-transparent administration I’ve ever seen would be laughable if it weren’t about the safety and security of not only cops, but the people whom they protect and serve. I notice almost on a daily basis this administration stonewalls, lies and covers up more than any 20 police departments in the U.S.,” alleges former police captain and security director Charlie Andropoulos.

Also, according to Andropoulos and other police officials, it’s curious how this latest news story ties into the Democratic Party’s pamphlets and messaging in Missouri and Georgia that are stoking up the flames of discontent in minority neighborhoods. “They are trying to use a police shooting as wedge issue in political races, and dividing us in the name of uniting us,” said the police veteran.

What will happen tomorrow, and if gun owners "win," how much difference will it make without their continued activism?
What will happen tomorrow, and if gun owners “win,” how much difference will it make without their continued activism?

Tomorrow gun owners will see if all the hype about sweeping Democrat losses is just that, or if Republicans actually end up capitalizing on a disaffected electorate to enjoy substantial gains in state and federal races. Tomorrow we’ll see if the balance of the Senate shifts, ousting Harry Reid from its leadership, with all that means in terms of bills advanced and nominations confirmed.

Tomorrow we’ll see if gun owners are motivated to vote. That’s not a sure thing, with some declaring it makes no difference who is in power, deeming all politicians sell-outs, and others maintaining “lesser of two evils is still evil” purity and opting for a third party. That among those, at least based on comments they post on the internet, there’s no shortage of “Molon Labe!” bravado, we may see what the likely results of detachment and/or reaching for the unreachable star yield. For those committed to sit on their hands, we’ll see if not lifting a finger now will really work out better for them — and for us all — in the long run.

We’ll see if moves to punish bad governors for bad gun edicts succeed. With Connecticut now being a two-way race, we’ll see if Dannel Malloy will be given his walking papers (and we’ll see if he goes gentle into that good night, or what he’ll do if he holds on). We’ll see if Colorado gun owners can give their incumbent governor a bad case of The Hickenlooper Blues. And we’ll see if a plutocrat-funded initiative on safe blue turf is used as a template to roll Astroturf over grassroots on other ground.

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) –

“The Cleveland Department of Health confirms emergency crews responded to W. 56 to pick up a possible Ebola patient on Sunday. However, he has tested negative.

Dan Williams, public information officer, says around 12:15 p.m., EMS received a 911 call for West 56th Street. Due to the patient’s illness and unclear history, during the 911 call, interrogation decided to have fire first responders clear the scene until EMS arrived.

According to Williams, once the information was received, the arriving EMS crew donned the appropriate personal protective equipment, taking all precautionary measures to utilize proper protocols. The EMS captain was on scene and made contact with the receiving hospital. Contact was also made to the director of Public Health, health epidemiologist, and Safety.

The crew then drove to MetroHealth, where they worked cooperatively with staff to get the patient into the hospital.”

After a couple of hours of testing, it was determined the man was not a victim or carrier and there was no further concern.”

So,the plan is to treat any Ebola pt’s at Metro?

All it will take in ONE Ebola patient to start puking, bleeding out of his/her eyes, and spewing virus and blood laced diarrhea all over the ER-then it’s game over for any emergency health care from the hospital that serves 90% plus of the areas poor folks.

Where’s the “world renowned” Cleveland Clinic?

Cleveland Clinic is simply not going to treat Ebola patients it seems-that would deny them the ability to screen patients, and decline to treat anyone that they are not 99% sure will have a positive outcome from their course of treatment.

The Cleveland Clinic will not treat anyone with osteomyelitis, other than offering to perform an amputation…

I know that from personal experience.

Osteomyelitis is only a simple staph infection, the problem is antibiotics don’t penetrate bone very well.

If that’s not something they are willing to treat-then there’s no way in hell they’re gonna treat Ebola.

Treating patients who might screw up their 99% success rate would ruin their reputation-the dickheads.

NASHVILLE — For the second consecutive year, four of the five participants recorded harvests in the Tennessee Elk Hunt held Oct. 20-24 at North Cumberland Wildlife Management Area.

In the Tennessee Youth Elk Hunt, held the weekend of Oct. 25-26, the participant had a harvest for the third in as many years since the hunt was established. Robert L. Goodner, a 14-year old from Cleveland was the first boy selected for the youth hunt. Robert had the biggest overall harvest this year with his take of a 6×8 bull elk that field dressed at 646 pounds and was taken on the morning of Oct. 26.

During the regular hunt, Jefferson City resident Jimmy Rogers had this year’s first harvest. It came in the evening on opening day and was a 6×6 that field dressed at 593 pounds.

On the second day of the hunt, two harvests were made both coming in the evening. Audie Schrimsher of Maryville took an elk that was a 5×5 that weighed 462 pounds. Hartsville resident Clay Oldham also took a 5×5 elk and it had a field dressed weight of 465 pounds.

The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency has worked to make habitat improvements at North Cumberland WMA. The first arrival of 50 animals came in December 2000, the first elk to be in Tennessee since they were last reported in Obion County in 1865.

“BRADFORD COUNTY, PA — A motorist was viciously beaten, tasered, and maced repeatedly, then charged with 24 separate crimes and maliciously prosecuted for every one of them. He was beaten four (4) times over the course of 11-hours, and not once had he acted maliciously. The incident stemmed from his driving while on an unusually high dosage of legally-prescribed bipolar medication and a subsequent fender bender. Dash-cam footage revealed the extraordinary exaggerations made about the case — 2 years after it took place.”

“Once his car was immobilized, the senior trooper on scene, Corporal Roger Stipcak, stood on top of Mr. Leone’s hood and ordered him out of his car while aiming a taser at him. Mr. Leone COULD NOT comply with the trooper’s order because a state police car was intentionally blocking Leone’s driver-side door.

Mr. Leone was then tasered through his open sunroof and forcibly dragged to the ground through the passenger-side door and beaten by fellow troopers. The senior trooper who was standing on the hood of Leone’s car was then seen jumping directly onto Leone’s back from the hood of the car.

A battered Robert Leone is shoved toward a squad car, where he was hog-tied and subject to further abuse. (Image: Pennsylvania State Police)

“You’ve got a long f***ing night ahead,” the officer menaced. “Do ya hear me?? Do ya f***ing hear me?!”

This was but the first threat of many Mr. Leone was going to receive over the next 11 hours. It was also the mildest. At no time was Leone videoed resisting or attempting to strike the officers.

After his first beating he was handcuffed and questioned. At that point Leone was arrested and placed in the back of a patrol car. Without advising Mr. Leone of his constitutional rights he was questioned a second time and responded with respectful answers of “yes sir,” and “no sir.”

During the questioning, the trooper accused Leone of intentionally spitting in the trooper’s face and used that alleged behavior as a reason to beat Mr. Leone — who was still handcuffed. The trooper then hog-tied the victim.

“Who do you think you’re messing with?” one officer challenged. “We’re the Pennsylvania State Police… it’s not just some chumps.”

After analyzing the audio portion of the dash-cam it appears that the trooper fabricated the spitting incident in order to justify the beating, even though spitting does not allow an officer to beat a prisoner”

Watch as author Larry Hohol provides a play-by-play of the traffic stop:

An ambulance had initially been called to transport Mr. Leone, who had suffered multiple injuries. Instead, the trooper who had broken his hand while punching Leone received medical attention, and Mr. Leone — who was handcuffed and hog-tied — was transported to the hospital in the back of a patrol car.

All district attorneys have two basic requirements — not options — when fulfilling their Oaths of Office. One is to prosecute the guilty, and the other is to protect the innocent. In this case DA Daniel Barrett did neither. At the very least the dash-cam video contradicted sworn statements made by troopers and in many instances proved Mr. Leone’s innocence. Instead of dropping the charges, the Bradford County District Attorney knowingly prosecuted a man that he knew was innocent of everything except his failure to stop (Leone is guilty of this for sure).”

“We as Americans are willing to go to foreign lands and spill our own blood in the defense of freedom (both ours as well as someone else’s), yet here at home our freedoms are being directly attacked on a daily basis by the very agencies that are in place to assure us things like this never happen. Not only are injustices happening, they are happening on a large scale. I directly blame the chain of command as much as I blame the individual offending officers. In most instances not only does the chain of command attempt to cover-up and justify misconduct, but they actively chastise any officer who might step forward in an attempt to right a wrong. In addition, I blame the Judicial Conduct board as they directly oversee the courts, and I blame the Bar Association as most of the players here (except for the police) are attorneys including the elected officials that should be intervening.”

The big question that we should all be asking ourselves is, “How do we fix all of this”?

REYNOLDSBURG, OHIO – The Ohio Department of Agriculture (ODA) and the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) today confirmed the first positive case of Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) in the state in a captive deer herd in Holmes County. The state continues to take quarantine action to control the further spread of the disease. There is no evidence that CWD has affected the wild deer population in the state.

The positive sample was taken from a single buck on a hunting preserve in Millersburg and tested as part of Ohio’s CWD monitoring program for captive white-tailed deer operations. The preserve had been under quarantine since April 24, 2014, and was subject to intensive monitoring and sampling protocols because of a known connection to a captive deer operation in Pennsylvania that tested positive for CWD earlier this year. The quarantine will remain enforced until the state is satisfied that disease transference can no longer occur.
