Watts Up With That posts a “Friday Funny: Over a Century’s Worth of Failed Eco-Climate Quotes and Disinformation”.  The article contains all the usual bloopers that many have read, alternating regularly back and forth, between thermageddon and ice age, since the earliest quote in 1922 about warming:

The Arctic ocean is warming up, icebergs are growing scarcer and in some places the seals are finding the water too hot…. Reports from fishermen, seal hunters and explorers, he declared, all point to a radical change in climate conditions and hitherto unheard-of temperatures in the Arctic zone… Great masses of ice have been replaced by moraines of earth and stones, the report continued, while at many points well known glaciers have entirely disappeared. Very few seals and no white fish are found in the eastern Arctic, while vast shoals of herring and smelts, which have never before ventured so far north, are being encountered in the old seal fishing grounds. -Washington Post 11/2/1922

Barely 10 months later, the Chicago Tribune was warning of a coming Ice Age:

Scientist says Arctic ice will wipe out Canada, Professor Gregory of Yale University stated that “another world ice-epoch is due.” He was the American representative to the Pan-Pacific Science Congress and warned that North America would disappear as far south as the Great Lakes, and huge parts of Asia and Europe would be “wiped out.” –Chicago Tribune August 9, 1923

And so it goes, predictions of fire and ice, until today.  Before that, though, Anthony lists some quotes from the stalwarts of the environmental movement.  You can see much of their true agenda in these.  I believe I’ve printed all of these before.

Now, lets look into the motivational background of a few typical players in the green climate movement.

On their love for the human race:

Paul Ehrlich, professor, Stanford University: “A cancer is an uncontrolled multiplication of cells; the population explosion is an uncontrolled multiplication of people. We must shift our efforts from the treatment of the symptoms to the cutting out of the cancer.” John Holdren, now President Obama’s science czar made this statement before taking on that role: “There exists ample authority under which population growth could be regulated…It has been concluded that compulsory population-control laws, even including laws requiring compulsory abortion, could be sustained under the existing Constitution if the population crisis became sufficiently severe to endanger the society.”

Ted Turner, billionaire, founder of CNN and major UN donor: “A total population of 250-300 million people, a 95% decline from present levels, would be ideal.”

David Foreman, co-founder of Earth First!: “My three main goals would be to reduce human population to about 100 million worldwide, destroy the industrial infrastructure and see wilderness, with it’s full complement of species, returning throughout the world.”

David Brower, a founder of the Sierra Club: “Childbearing should be a punishable crime against society, unless the parents hold a government license. All potential parents should be required to use contraceptive chemicals, the government issuing antidotes to citizens chosen for childbearing.”

As I’ve noted before, the guy who wants to kill of 95% of humanity, Ted Turner, is the moderate in this discussion!

Thoughts on cheap power
Cheap power is the ultimate lever for multiplying human effort and productivity. The end of worldwide slavery can be directly tied to the advent of steam power, and the availability of cheap electrical power was a key enabler for the creation of a large middle class and the advancement of women’s rights, among many other profoundly positive sociological changes. What do key green players think about cheap power?

Paul Ehrlich, professor, Stanford University: “Giving society cheap, abundant energy would be the equivalent of giving an idiot child a machine gun.”

Jeremy Rifkin, Greenhouse Crisis Foundation: “The prospect of cheap fusion energy is the worst thing that could happen to the planet.”

“Under my plan of a cap-and-trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket. Coal powered plants, you know, natural gas, you name it, whatever the plants were, whatever the industry was, they would have to retrofit their operations. That will cost money. They will pass that money on to consumers.”

-Of course, that last quote was from Presidential candidate Barack Obama, January 2008.  The guy in the White House has essentially nothing in common with that candidate.

The human brain is fantastic at finding patterns and correlations – even where none exist.  Do you know a sports fan, perhaps, who always wears the same shirt for a game?  A racer who always goes through the same ritual before every race?   This superstition, that a shirt he’s wearing will influence a game hundreds of miles away, is the same thinking that influences these predictions.  Sure they’re phrased in words of science, but they’re all based on the same thinking primitive tribes go through; the volcano is angry or happy, it must be something we did.  Then they go off and find, or manufacture, some “science” to back it up.   Certainly with the vagaries of weather there’s bound to be a few years with an upward trend in temperature or a few years with a downward trend.  The primitives declare it to be “our fault” and we must do something to change to avert the runaway warming or the impending ice age.  The malicious manipulators create models that demonstrate it’s our fault and we must give them our money, or sacrifice our lifestyle, or in the really extreme cases of Rifkin, Turner, Foreman, Brower, Ehrlich, and Holdren, we must give our very lives to appease the daemon.  It’s like sacrificing a virgin to the volcano.

It’s no secret that some of those fomenting the riots and protests over the shooting death of Michael Brown are Communists. A Vine video posted on Twitchy Saturday shows protesters in Ferguson, Missouri, openly calling for a Communist revolution in America.

“The only solution is a Communist revolution,” protesters are heard chanting. Pictures posted at Twitchy also show protesters holding signs saying “racist cops” must be “smashed” with a Communist revolution.

Paul Hampel, a reporter with the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, said on Twitter that Communist Party members led Friday night’s protest while disseminating literature for their cause. “A century later,” he said in another tweet, “a Trotsky-esque plea toward National Guard troops: ‘turn the guns around and shoot the bosses down.'”

Older protesters, he said, made references to Kent State, the site of a protest in Ohio where anti-Vietnam War demonstrators were killed. Hampel also posted several Vine videos to his Twitter feed, and said that 15 people were arrested, citing Dept. of Public Safety spokesman Mike O’Connell.

Ya think there was just a bit of “outside influence” in Ferguson?

WTF does a Communist revolution have to do with a cop shooting Mr. Brown, who was determined to have been a thug? A “kid” with a juvenile record that included a murder case, who was seen on video grabbing a store owner by the throat, and pushing him into a display rack-shortly before his altercation with the Ferguson PD that resulted in his death.

Whether you believe the cop-or the kid who was with Mr. Brown-it takes some serious mental gymnastics to reach the conclusion that the solution to Brown being shot by police is a Communist revolution.

The Communist party members who were present were attempting to recruit new commie members among the protesters.

Could be they had just a little to do with stepping up the violence in Ferguson as well,as the resulting police response goes hand on hand with the “we are oppressed by the rich” etc. rhetoric.

Members of the Communist party need to be extirpated from American soil-all of them-every. single. one.

Communism is diametrically opposed to rightful liberty, the Constitution,Bill of Rights, and any freedoms the American people have left.

Communism has no place in a free country-nor do Communists-every single communist needs to be removed from the face of the earth.

These people are entrenched in American government, politics, and in the leftist indoctrination centers our public schools and universities have become.

Any time you wonder where young people get the insane ideas they have-look at who is teaching them, look real close, and you find one thing in every school- A majority of far left teachers and professors.

Those teachers and professors ARE the far left radicals from the ’60’s.

They all have tenure, and can not be fired. They give lectures on how gun owners,Republicans,pro-life people,Christians, conservatives, those who believe in the Constitution, support Rightful Liberty, smaller government, lower taxes, oppose the welfare state, and the police state are the “enemy”.

They are brainwashing your kids-following the plans they have been following since the 50’s and 60’s-and they are achieving their goals.

The current admin is full of leftover 60’s radicals-or was-many are gone now,but they did their damage.many more are still on the .gov inc. payroll, busy enacting regulations that expand government powers, take away our rights, raise or taxes, and control what we can and can not do on our own property.

Look at the latest EPA regs-the most costly regulation in history-brought to you by the enviro-nazis left over from the 60’s and 70’s.

Lisa Jackson, last EPA admin. was a self described environmental extremist, the current sack of excrement,Gina McCarthy is even worse.

This is what happens when socialists, leftists and communists infiltrate schools and government.

Rights and freedom disappear.

Do More PT !

Why would an environmental impact study be required for administration action authorizing possession of guns in national parks, but not for action authorizing the presence and activities of millions of foreign nationals?

MVM is hiring. The government contractor is seeking qualified nationwide transport specialists on behalf of the Department of Homeland Security to escort “Unaccompanied Children” by ground and air.

The company, boasts of “provid[ing] specialized services to both public and private sector clients. From protecting the children of King Hussein of Jordan, to supporting U.S. Embassies throughout the world, MVM has performed with distinction.” That distinction, especially for a “secret contractor” that has been embroiled in controversy, is no doubt enhanced by a leadership that includes politically-connected former careerists from the Secret Service and the U.S. Marshal’s Service.

The thing is, transporting these children, sheltering them, feeding them, clothing them, bathing them and dealing with the waste they generate will all have an environmental impact, and while seemingly negligible compared to the totality of things, that’s added to the millions of heretofore illegal aliens already in the country now empowered to stay, and to those on their way, attracted by seeing “migrants” who came before them rewarded for lawbreaking. Their long-term impact as an aggregate on the environment and on the resources needed to provide energy, sustenance and disposal, can hardly be considered negligible. Nor can the immediate and continuing impact of environmental destruction left in their wake.

Feds flood Colorado River through Grand Canyon

“FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) — Federal officials opened the floodgates at Glen Canyon Dam on Monday, sending water rushing through the Colorado River in the Grand Canyon. The five-day flood is meant to mimic conditions of the river before the dam was built, because the dam now blocks a majority of the sediment from traveling downstream.”

“The amount of water released over 96 hours will fill an Olympic-sized swimming pool every 2.5 seconds. The flood will distribute enough sediment through the Grand Canyon to bury a professional football stadium up to the lighting.”

Then the idiots have the balls to lie about the water release…

“No. To create the flood, Lake Powell will shrink by 2 1/2 feet. But Lake Mead in Nevada will rise by 2 1/2 feet as the increased amounts of water flow through the Colorado River and to Lake Mead. The flood won’t alter the amount of water sent between the two lakes annually, as monthly adjustments are made to account for the surge in water, officials said.”

BULL. SHIT. Lake mead and lake Powell are not the same size-in order for Powell to raise the water level of Mead by 2 1/2 ft-the lakes would have to be identical in depth-(they’re not)- surface area-(they’re not)- do these morons really think that no one is capable of figuring out that they’re lying?
